You know the young and rebellious have become the old and “rounded-up” when you distribute t-shirts at a tech conference addressing a technology that every new kid wanted to try say 15 years back. Now, things are all different. An interesting graph at a Linux Symposium showed how the distribution of the Linux developers was strongly on the Small and Medium side and now are upwards of Large T-shirt sizes. Very clearly showing that all those guys who were new kids on the block when Linux was becoming a rage are now middle aged successful and prosperous professionals. (Source)

Today some of the major sites use Linux and the operating system has made a permanent base in the corporate tech landscape.
The linux market share is increasing every year and now has a healthy 36 % of the market share.
